The NINO Library catalogue is part of Leiden University Libraries’ catalogue. Our collections have the following shelfmarks:

• MEL-NINO Collection – open-shelf collection, directly available during opening hours in the MEL Reading Room; not available for loan;
• NINO Library: 
  • closed stack – available for loan; 
  • special items – rare/old publications, available for consultation in UBL’s Special Collections Reading Room;
• NINO Books, NINO Journals – open stack, directly available during opening hours in S-UB; not available for loan.

Use the search box above to search in the UBL catalogue, which includes all NINO Library collections. Each item’s availability is indicated: on shelf in a reading room or open stack depot, available for loan, or available for viewing on-site. Since the NINO Library collections are kept in several locations, it is not possible to search the online catalogue specifically for NINO holdings. Ask for more information at the MEL library desk during opening hours.

Note that a LU Card is necessary to access the MEL Reading Room, S-UB, and the Special Collections Reading Room – as well as for loaning books, or for requesting materials to be viewed in the Special Collections Reading Room.
