The applicant should make clear how their research project makes a contribution to Egyptology (including Coptology), Assyriology (including Hittitology), and/or Near Eastern archaeology.
Calls for applications are announced on the NINO website and NINO’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and LinkedIn).

Applications are reviewed by our Academic Committee, with a few exceptions.

Funding from the Netherlands Institute in Turkey
The NIT offers two types of fellowships for research stays in Istanbul: Residential Fellowships and Non-Residential Fellowships.
